Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly adept, passing our tests for cleaning and taking on a variety of floor types. Look for models that let you choose from multiple modes, use their charging dock to self-empty, and clean up stairs.
Many of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Find an app that allows you to save maps, set schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos available on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set up schedules and modify the behavior of the S1.
When I tested the S1, it was quick to identify our downstairs, which is home to linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It easily drove close to walls without hitting them, and even managed to drive across thresholds that were raised in the room without issue, though it occasionally was unable to navigate down stairs in a single move. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and swung up when it came to carpets or rugs.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before needing to be empty, but this can vary based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working well. It is necessary to regularly wash out the dirty tank to keep it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them getting clogged up with dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robot vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a great choice to meet your cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum is rated at 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with numerous unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating Best robot vacuum uk robotvacuummops lift the floor and scrub it, rather than simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.
This robot combination is simple to install and use, and has a clear interface that guides you through the procedure. It includes a hand vacuum that recharges to reach those areas the robot can't reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically emptied and filled whenever needed. It also comes with a variety of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily removes all kinds of debris, including the tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it can be stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water, and dried in the base station as needed. The mops can also be filled at the top of the station if required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model has even more impressive features. It offers outstanding cleaning results and hands-free maintenance making it a top contender on our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush will ensure an effective, customized cleaning is achieved.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It is a great choice on hard floors and carpets. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease by avoiding pet hairs as well as other dirt. The sweeping power is enhanced by a side brush that moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.
Its navigation is smart that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can go from one room to the next without needing to reverse the direction. This is useful for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than some competitors and leaves a wide margin between obstacles. This can result in miss-hit spots.
The app features a simple, intuitive interface that should be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleanings. You can also alter suction power, mop settings as well as look up 3-D and 2-D maps. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for live video surveillance. You will require a reliable internet connection to access the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of removing dirt and debris but it's not always able to be able to reach every particle of dust. It's important to vacuum frequently, every week. This is particularly important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums and mop, is designed to do just that. It is easy to connect it to your home WiFI network and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, such as the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it doesn't have mopping capabilities and has an aluminum body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've ever seen at this price even though it's not able to clean your floors. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It comes with a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning times and determine the floor type. It also features an automatic water tank filling and washing system for hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out, with a 2700Pa power that can combat pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't show any trouble with high-pile carpets and area rug, but it was unable to clean up cables or kitty litter, which is no surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we've tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home, which allows it to get into places that other vacuums are unable to reach. It also is able to collect more dust in the bin, which means you don't need to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters which further reduces costs. The robot is able to detect carpets, and boost suction when needed. The app also allows you to mark areas you want to stay clear of and is a great feature.
